A New Friend On The Way!

We would just like to say Congrats! to our friends Scott and Ashley. They recently found out that they have a little one on the way. We are very excited for them! :)

Helping Daddy with Yard Work!

Emma has learned to pitch in around the house already. She went out to help dad rake leaves. Well...she thinks eating them and raking them are the same :)!
Her and her dad work well together, can't wait until she starts cooking us dinner and washing the clothes. HA!

Gotta love the little moments in life!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We had a pretty fun Halloween. Emma wasn't able to go out and trick or treat but we went over to some friends houses to show off our little M&M. She loved the costume and ate up all the attention. She started her set of Synegis shots last month so she is unable to be in big crowds, shopping malls or around strangers. She loves to be on the go so she is not so excited about that, but it is important to keep her healthy.

Hope everyone had a GREAT Halloween!

NEW HOME AT LAST...!

We have now been in our new home for a little over a week. It is very exciting even though we have a lot of work to do. Emma loves her new room, we painted it a very bright pink and she smiles every time we take her in there. We took Emma to the developemental specialist a week or so ago and they said she is developing very well, the chunky monkey weighs about 16-1/2 pounds now. She wasted no time at all as far as catching up on weight gain goes! :)
Well, other than that we don't really have a whole lot going on.

Hope everyone is doing well, talk to you soon!

A New Place...

We are so excited to say that we are getting ready to close on the sell of our current home and purchase a new one. It will be much better for Emma and our dogs as well. The backyard is huge and they can run for hours. The house is very well kept and will allow us to finish the basement adding more to the living space. We will have three bedrooms, the master bedroom being loft style which I love, as well as a bigger kitchen/dining room, and living room. WE can't wait to have you all over...especially for a cookout on our new deck. :)
Well, other than that Emma is just growing every day. She can roll over very well now and is getting closer and closer to sitting up on her own. She loves baby food: bananas, peas, peaches, etc...she loves it all. I am posting some newer pics, but once we move I will add some more updated ones. Hope everyone is doing well. Keep in touch, we'll update again soon.

Oh! I Almost Forgot....Real Food!

Emma had her first experience with Stage 1 real food on July 10th. She really enjoyed a container of peaches. YUM! as she wiped them all over her face and up her nose. She was too cute! She is now eating a vegetable and fruit for lunch and dinner with of course supplemental bottles, but I'm telling you the kid is a little chunker...she has so far loved everything other than peas. And those peas were a little scary, I have to say!
She goes to the doctor next week, but we guess her weight is give or take around 14lbs. That's a long way from the 1 lb. 13 oz. at birth.
Well, we will update again soon. Hope everyone is doing well!

July 11th - 13th...Sleep Over!

Emma's first time away from Mom and Dad overnight. Apparently she had a great time, but we really missed her! Josh and I went to a Pro-Motocross race in Mechanicsville, MD for our anniversary get away. We had a great time, it was blistering hot - but oh so awesome! Nana-D took great care of Emma and Poppie did his part in spoiling her. She seemed to have had a blast and came back home spoiled rotten, as if she weren't prior!

Fourth of July...

We had a great 4th! We weren't too sure if Emma was going to like the fireworks or not, but we went anyway. We relaxed most of the day and Myself, Josh, Emma and Aunt Jenny went to Greenhill Park in Salem to enjoy the festivaties. I have to say those were the best fireworks I have seen in years. Emma was at first a little freaked mainly from the loud BANG! But after the first few she was squirming everywhere trying to get me to take my hands off of her ears. She sat a watched in AWE....! She was dressed up so cute in her little Fourth of July outfit. We loved it!

A Lot of Catching Up to Do....

We have a lot of catching up to do...we have had a busy summer so far.
To start Nana-D, Poppie, Uncle TR, Aunt Jenny, Josh, myself and Emma all went to New Jersey and New York for a long weekend in June. What a trip! National Lampoon's trip to the Big Apple! HA!
Emma loved the city and was such a good little girl the whole time. We have many pictures to share from our exploration. Emma, Josh and Aunt Jenny toured the Madame Tussauds Museum of wax stars. They had a great time and took lots of silly photos. We of course did some great shopping and then headed on back to the big VA.

Babysitter this weekend!

Emma hung out with my mom Friday evening and Aunt Jenny on Saturday so that Josh and I could attend our friends Josh & Nikki's wedding and rehearsal. We had a great time as apparently did Emma. She was such a good little girl and has even slept through the night since Saturday. WOW! Maybe we need a live in babysitter...just joking. Thank you Mom and Jen for watching her she seemed to love every minute!

Doctor's Appt - 4mo. Check-Up

Emma had a Doctor's appointment yesterday, just a normal check-up but unfortunately she had to have 4 vaccinations. Two in each thigh. OUCH! We were very excited to know that she has gained significantly. Emma now weighs 10lbs. 8oz. YAY! The doctor seems to think that she is catching up very well. She is showing characteristics of a 2 month old which is about a month ahead, since technically she would only be a little over a month old according to her original due date of April 18th. We were glad to hear that she is progressing and catching up well. Other than that we really haven't had a whole lot going on. We will update again soon!

Memorial Day Weekend 2008

This Memorial Day we took a trip up to my parent's lake house for a cookout. We had a very nice time with family and friends. Aunt Jenny was finally able to get her little Yorkshire Terrier that she has been talking about forever. We were all so excited! She came to our house on Sunday afternoon and we were able to meet "Izzy" Patterson. She is such a cutie. Emma, Luke and Jaxx loved her. (Luke and Jaxx are our pups)! Other than that, we haven't had a whole lot going on. We will update again in the next few weeks, once we have additional moments to share.

The Hall Family...
We began on our wedding day - 07/07/07
Soon after our marriage we decided we would like to have an addition to our family.
Now, we are Josh, Manisha, and Emma the Happy Hall Family.
Emma our little peapod has had a long journey but was finally released from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2008. She has been home for several weeks now and seems to be superb. We are happy to have her home and hope to have many memories to share along our journey together.

Thank you to all who supported us in our time of fear, desperation and hope!

Love,
Josh, Manisha & Emma Hall
